After starting out in the banking industry, Nicky branched out into accountancy to broaden her skillset. She started with the business in 2006 and enjoys her role as Client Manager.  


Q: How did you get into the industry? 

A: After working in banking, I decided accountancy would be a good way to expand my skills.


Q: What does a normal day look like for you? 

A: Preparing and completing the following –

Self-Assessment Tax Returns

Statutory Accounts

Payroll

VAT returns

Corporation Tax Returns

Management Accounts


Common misconceptions about your job? 

A: Accountancy is boring.

There is a lot more to accountancy than numbers!


Q: What do you do outside of work? 

A: I like travelling, some say I am always on holiday but then you only live once.

I like keeping fit, lots of walking, swimming and try to visit the gym when I can.

I regularly go to music concerts, (Pop and Rock).  I must have been to 100+ over the years.


Q: Tea or Coffee? 

A: Tea (Green), which I believe enhances brain function, I need as much as I can get!


Q: What would your last meal on earth be? 

A: Chicken Curry with a cheeky glass of wine.


 Q: If you could only watch one movie for the rest of your life, what would it be? 

A: I am not really a big movie watcher, more of a Netflix box set watcher.


Q: Interesting fact about yourself / greatest achievement? 

A: Being married to an Evertonian for over ¼ of a century. I deserve a medal, well Everton are certainly not going to get one soon!!
